This post comes from A W Tozer's book Knowledge of the Holy...

"What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us."

So the question is...

”What comes into your mind when you think about God?”

NOTE: this should be a one or two word short answer not an essay...this is only the FIRST thing that comes to your mind NOT everything...

The first thing i think of God as is CREATOR of everything.

I think this helps me put his magnitude and rulership into perspective .

maybe i should have phrased the question differently..

Who is God? What are his attributes? -the things we know for certain to be true of his nature

These questions can only be answered thru a revelation from the Holy Spirit...

A.W. Tozer comes into my mind.

Then I ask him to leave, and he does.

The second thing that came to mind was Led Zeppelin.

But then A.W. Tozer came back and said, "No, that was Houses of the Holy. She's talking about my book Knowledge of the Holy."

Now I'm waiting for the third thing to come into my mind. It's getting a little crowded.

Amy, I think of Jesus too, when I think of God. This is a profound year for me, because I am becoming swept away even more than ever at the incredible majesty and humility of Jesus, His nearness and realness, yet He is Judge of all the earth. He is Yahweh in the flesh. I can hardly express all that is in His wonderful name.

I think its fascinating that although you "theologians" are willing to discuss baptism qualifications, dispensationalism, calvinism, millennialism, pre-trib post trib, rapture, elders, etc.

The one thing that is actually important to what you believe and how you believe it you cant give an answer to.

I know the question may seem silly but it's an honest one that needs to be thought about.

This is life or death.. the answer you give to that question...

And personally i was interest to see what type of revelation you have received...not a lot obviously.. kinda disappointing.

Thank you!

Yes, Jesus is God incarnate so a great way to dicover the "unseen" is to study the seen.
