Okay yeah I know the Bible wasn't originally written in verses. And yes, I know that I should be asking "what's your favorite pericope?" But none of us memorize pericope's and I know we all have a verse that speaks to us and constantly reinvigorates or re-demolishes us.

What's yours? And I mean don't list like 500 (Jesse) just hook us up with at most three. I would rather just one though.

So what is it?

I'll start it off by answering my own question: Galatians 2:20

I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.

For awhile now, Ecclesiastes 9:12 is with me in both mind and heart because more often than not, I feel like fish:

Surely, no one knows his appointed time! Like fish that are caught in a deadly net, and like birds that are caught in a snare – just like them, all people are ensnared at an unfortunate time that falls upon them suddenly. (NET)

And I mean don't list like 500 (Jesse)

Haha! Sorry Jesse but you know it's true.

This would be difficult. Three max, eh?

I think probably EX 34:6-7, the "unabridged name" as I call it. I have often used it in prayers.
The LORD passed before him and proclaimed, "The LORD, the LORD, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness, keeping steadfast love for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, but who will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children and the children’s children, to the third and the fourth generation."
But I also really like Heb 12:2;
Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
And 2 Cor 1: 20-22;
all the promises of God find their Yes in him. That is why it is through him that we utter our Amen to God for his glory. And it is God who establishes us with you in Christ, and has anointed us, and who has also put his seal on us and given us his Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.

Well, for me, it's Romans 8.28-29, 38-39. These words actually keeps me going in life, amidst confusions.

THis is my favorite verse - - since you only give me one!
Isaiah 35:8
A highway shall be there, and a road, And it shall be called the Highway of Holiness. The unclean shall not pass over it, But it shall be for others. Whoever walks the road, although a fool, Shall not go astray.

1 Thess 5:21 Test everything. Hold on to the good.

Prov 18:17 The first to present his case seems right...till another comes forward and questions him.

1 Peter 3:15-16 But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander.

Philippians 4:12-13 I have experienced times of need and times of abundance. In any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of contentment, whether I go satisfied or hungry, have plenty or nothing. I am able to do all things through the one who strengthens me. NET Bible

Rey, you stole mine :) Luckily, there's more to choose from:

Romans 8:1-4:

There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set us free from the law of sin and death. For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, so that the requirement of the Law might be filled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

First,
Isaiah 66:1-2 "Thus says the LORD: "Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool; what is the house that you would build for me, and what is the place of my rest? All these things my hand has made, and so all these things came to be, declares the LORD. But this is the one to whom I will look: he who is humble and contrite in spirit and trembles at my word."

It is not the sinner who is denied entrance into glory, but the unrepentant sinner.

Then,
John 11:35 "Jesus wept."

Wow! Every time I begin to overemphasize Jesus' divinity at the expense of his humanity, this verse hits me.

Lastly,
2 Cor 3:18 "And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit."

How am I being changed? By doing good things? By the Law? No! By beholding!

Wow, listing ONE is tough, Rey. I zipped through just Matthew to copy out some of my favorites:

Matthew 11:28-30
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.

Matthew 22:37-39
Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'

Matthew 18:2-5
He called a little child, whom he placed among them. And he said: "Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes a humble place—becoming like this child—is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.

Matthew 25:27
Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?

I also love The Beatitudes in Matthew 5:3-11.

1 Corinthians 8:9
For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he
was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his
poverty might be rich.

This is a good reminder during times of prosperity or need, sickness or health.

“We must not mind a little suffering for Christ sake”
