Here are some you may have missed from today:

Virgin and Richard Branson announced a expedition to the center of the earth: Virgin Volcanic
Google announced a new version 8-bit of Google Maps for the NES/Famicom, which is usable in a beta form at http://maps.google.com under "Quest".
Google Search introduced a new "really advanced" set of search options, including the ability to isolate results that matched "rhyming slang" or the "exact word or phrase, whose sum of unicode code points is a mersenne prime" of queries, loop dubstep MIDI music in the background, or that contain particular odors. In a first Google also allowed users to download their ranking algorithms and "run Google at home"
Google Chrome launched a new "multitask mode" that implements a second mouse cursor in the browser and allows using two mice for double the productivity.
The Gmail team has introduced Gmail Tap, which brings the speed and simplicity of Morse Code to smartphones.
Google Search also launched a revolutionary feature that allows users to not only view their local weather when searching for something like "Palo Alto CA weather", but they can now actually change the local weather inline in the search results.
