Best Bible Translation

I am certain something like this has been done before, so grant me the grace to ask again. But I will add something new to discuss.

1) What would you rank as your top 3 Bible translations?

2) Does your particular theological viewpoint drive which particular translation you have chosen?

3) Have you ever given up one particular translation in favour of another because of your particular theological viewpoint?

2) No.

1. ESV, TNIV, NRSV - these days.

2. Yep! Especially in Paul.

3. Yep! The TNIV over Paul.

I propose that from now on, the preferred preferences are spelled out instead of acronym only. I haven't seen so many acronyms since my Air Force days.
