Theologica

a bible, theology, politics, news, networking, and discussion site

Most of us probably use Bible software. At the same time, most of us probably search online for various things.
With this in mind I ask, What are your favorite Bible study sites for New Testament studies?

These are just a couple of sites and I'm sure there are better sites that someone else uses but I think these sites are valuable tools:

Greek Bible Study - http://www.greekbiblestudy.org/gnt/main.do
If you are using Logos or Bibleworks or Accordance then this site may be underkill, but it's still very well done.

Seminary Library - http://www.seminarylibrary.com/Login.aspx
A great and growing theological library. I have an account through my seminary but there are ways to get an individual license.

Christian Classics Ethereal Library - http://www.ccel.org/
Duh.

Biblical Interpretation - http://www.bible-researcher.com/biblical-interpretation.html
A good collection of historical Christian documents.
As a bit of an amateur who doesn't use much Bible software, here are my favourites:

Ben Witherington's blog site: http://benwitherington.blogspot.com/
Prof Witherington is a prolific author and blog writer - not just on NT issues, but there's more than enough weighty material posted to keep me interested. He has quite a few useful articles about archaeology and culture relating to NT times and hermeneutics. Particularly strong on how NT authors used contemporary rhetorical structures in their writings.

Christian Classics Ethereal Library - http://www.ccel.org/: an amazing collection of historic works including writings of early church fathers, Josephus and other historians. Also a wide selection of more recent writers from a wide variety of Christian backgrounds. Most available in pdf downloads, voluntary contributions are requested after the first few downloads.

http://www.studylight.org/ - I use this for the Greek word studies (email subscription) and a greek lexicon

A very helpful interlinear Greek NT for beginners and more advanced users - http://www.greekbiblestudy.org/gnt/main.do: for the amateur part-time theologian or someone preparing a bible study this is a wonderful tool.
Thanks, gentlemen.
Do you have any resources for Bible backgrounds, manners, customs, etc?
I use Libronix Digital Library System (Libronix DLS) which includes Luther Works, Book of Concord and the Concordia Self-Study Bible/Commentary. Also the Kretzmann Comentaries at http://www.kretzmannproject.org/home.htm
Harry,
Thanks. The commentary is something I'm not familiar with. Looks interesting.

Roger,
Thanks
Now if we can get more to contribute. I'd like to think we could keep this thread somewhere for easy access so that all could use it for a reference.
Is that possible?

Roger,
The DTS link doesn't seem to be a good link.
Should it be http://www.dts.edu ?
What exactly do you use there for online studies? Is it open to the public, or just students and alumni?

I don't know of many sites for NT Studies online. Sites like the The Theology Program are excellent but they're not really NT Study sites.
One thing is, if possible, purchase a copy of the ESV Study Bible. You are then given a code to log on to their website and it is there that you can access everything via internet that you already have in the paper copy of the study Bible. You can also start your own typed margin notes and it is stored online. So, it's like having two copies of the same good study Bible.
That is neat.
