John R Rice's Genesis Commentary is also an interesting albeit predictable volume.  And, if one is going to be up to speed on some of the newer arguments, some of the tengential books like Russell Humpheries Starlight and Time and some of the ID books like Darwin's Black Box and Darwin on Trial are also good reads.
