a bible, theology, politics, news, networking, and discussion site
Hello, My name is Michael.
I'm a Navy wife, and stay at home mother of 3. I grew up in the baptist church, made my way into non-denominational during highschool. Married an Agnostic when I was 20, and lost my way for a few years. I'm sure I could cite any number of reasons that don't really matter. However, I've found my way again this past year and praise Jesus, my husband is now beginning to find who Jesus is too. We've been married for 6.5 years now.

Permalink Reply by Michael Robertson on November 9, 2011 at 8:21pm No interest in Theology specifically. Just sound teaching, sound advice and a Godly discussion revolving it. =) I found this page via an article from March 2010 about a type of "bible led discipline" in parenting of which I also do not agree with. I liked what I read, so here you find me.

Navy wife eh...Thank you for your service to our country. Yes I know it is your husband who is in the service, but families serve too. Is your husband currently home? or is he deployed?
Peace
James

Permalink Reply by James Gibbons on November 10, 2011 at 9:42am Something folks around here have pointed out is that “Theology” is just the “ology (thinking about)” of the “Theo (God)”. It’s just thinking and talking about God. When it gets technical and goes over my head, I just try to remember that we’re just God’s creatures, thinking and talking about our Creator (and thank God for online dictionaries, lexicons, and wiki resources). Personally, I prefer the idea of doctrine (teachings) to the idea of Theology. But that’s just me an my Biblical literary literalist bent.
By the way, speaking of military, you’ll want to say hey to Ray Nearhood, one of our members who is a highly decorated soldier, very funny man, and dear brother in Christ. He pops in from time to time. Give him a wave when you see him.

Hahahahahaha! It's funny because it's true.
Anyhow, speaking of Washington/The Sound... I live in Olympia (work at Joint Base Lewis McChord) and Raquel is in the Seattle area. Say 'hey' sometime.
