Know of any good books or other resources on the historical evidence for the death of the apostles?

From P&P - here
Doesn't Foxes Book of Martyrs cover some of that?

Daniel

Thanks. I actually saw this and it helped spark some of my interest. Michael does mention some ancient sources, but I was hoping to find some more.

Thanks, I think I'll check it out.

I did several years ago. I was well done and informative, I thought.
Might want to check the reader's reviews on Amazon. Some felt he was pretty hostile towards Roman Catholic and Orthodox believers.

I own it and I wasn't offended reading it. Without a doubt it is a book written by a protestant to a protestant but I think it's a good building block for anyone interested. It will certainly make you think about tradition and the diversity of the gospel. To know that St. Thomas went to India and converted Indians who lasted in a unified Church, virtually untouched by outside influence till the Portuguese came in the 17th century is good to contemplate.

I don't see how Parchment & Pen can "rate" the truth of the deaths of the Holy Apostles... Seems a bit... Strange.
Should get St. John Climacus' Ladder of Divine Ascent this weekend if my Father-in-law ordered them...

I'm not claiming that they don't belong to all of Christendom, just think it's funny that Michael rated how "likely" their deaths are...
