My husband frequently listens to Dave Ramsey, occasionally I do. I think he gives some pretty basic, common sense advice. I do not know what "The Great Recovery" is proposing other than what is written in the article below. Do you all have any thoughts on this? or know more details about it?

Sounds like something that he's probably talked quite a bit about on his radio show.  But since I don't listen to talk radio, I'm like you and can only go off of what is in the article.
I'd venture that he is simply putting the principles of financial management that he's always taught into a program. That's fine as far as it goes. Real recovery is learning to be content with what He gives us and trusting in God's providence for our future. God is faithful. The thing that gets me is that the economy is more in a rut because people live in fear about tomorrow. He has promised us eternity with Him. How could He not take care of tomorrow?
I watched the video and looked it up on his website and it looks like the same game with a different name.  I'm not sure I'd agree that it's fear based, however.  Ramsey's overall tone is more like 'stop being in debt and start being responsible with what God gives [and has given] you.'
I guess every generation has to have its champions with regard to certain topics.  Now it's Dave Ramsey; back when I was a 20/30-something with small kids, it was Larry Burkett, Ron Blue and Crown Ministries.
I guess what puzzles me is he seems to be suggesting that by people taking hold of their personal finances and getting out of personal debt that will somehow help the national debt/financial scene.  Maybe I'm confused at what he is targeting for recovery.
My best guess is that since the people make up the government, if the people change their view/use of money then that will extend to how they vote and what their expectations are as far as how a government should/can function economically.  Just guessing, though.
It won't do any good. If we want to stop trusting in Washington we must get off of fractual reserve banking system, we must get off the dollar. We are already so far in debt (especially if you count the derivatives market) that we could never pay it back. Personally I would rather take the advice of Bill Still or Gerald Celente.
