What Are Your "Hard Pills"?

What are your hard pills to swollow when it comes to the Bible? Hard pills are the passages and/or doctrine that leads to a conclusion that seems unpalatable or inconsistent with the character of God or just our own sense of fairness, yet there is a recognition that the Biblical text is drawing that conclusion. This is NOT a discussion to list the things you don't agree with, but the ones that you DO agree with even though it's a hard pill to swallow.

Here are mine:

1) Unconditional election: I believe that God unconditionally elects individuals the same as he unconditionally elected Israel, even though it does not seem quite fair

2) Human suffering: God is sovereign and demonstrates his love and righteousness, yet he allows suffering

3) Unanswered prayers: I think specifically of the latter half of Hebrews 11, the ones that did not receive what they asked for. Perhaps this would go hand in hand with suffering

So What are Your "hard pills"?

Yep I agree. And reconciling that with unconditional election is even harder, even though I don't believe in double predestination.

When you get a chance, check out the chapel message from yesterday on the DTS website. President Mark Bailey did a message on worship in dispensationalism and he talked about the Ezekiel's vision. The message was beyond amazing.

They go where theychoose. But God put them in an impossible position??? But yet their not dragged (drawn) their. But they would not have gone their if He would have irresistably drawn them. So why didn't He??? I'm so confuzzled???? :S

Yeah, I don't even bother believing unconditional election of all individuals but no more hijacking for me.

This OP if nothing else shows the immensity of the God we serve. You can't put Him in a box or write a definition and say this is what God is and that is all He is. Unless you say He is perfection itself. How could we think to understand one God who's Three Persons???
