Ethics in the News

Google will now allow ads from pro-life religious groups on its search engine. In the past, Google, which claims to be neutral on the abortion question, has refused to allow pro-life ads whenever someone searches "abortion." Now, Google has altered its course (under legal pressure in the UK) and will allow Christian groups to put links to pro-life websites. Here is the BBC report...
I say good for Google--and good for women, even though there is a question as to why they changed policy. Is it because of legal pressure, or is it because of a desire for equality for all viewpoints?

I believe this will prove to be a very interesting and fruitful venture for all who join. I personally look forward to information, questions, and of course discussions. I know, for my part, I'm ready to make comments.

I will try to keep a "How would you respond" section going so we can test our ethic in "real-world" situations. I'll also post some discussions along the way.
