Sinners Anonymous (SA)

Information

Sinners Anonymous (SA)

The short definition of a Christian is a "recovering sinner." The purpose of this group is to explore practical theology; i.e., how does Christian theology help me in my day-to-day living and goal to be more Christ-like!

Dear Bishop Chacko, Brother Carl and all ,
Will you please consider deleting the picture of Christ being nailed to the cross that Bishop posted in this space. It does not help me to be a better Christian and it makes me not want to come to this; in other words it acts as a deterent to people joining together in the name of Christ to encourage one another to be more godly and glorify Christ by word and life. I do not want a machine (conputer) doing my repenting for me. - Spoken in love.

A comment on the picture above...

I found this picture on the internet when looking for something to symbolize my New Creation Person blog. My key verse was 2 Corinthians 5:17 ("If anyone is in Christ, he is a NEW CREATION..."), and this picture, more than any other, pictured what it means to me to be a new creation.

We are free and the chains are broken, yet that is a truth we need to be reminded of EVERYDAY! Everyday, I succumb to my sin nature, even though in Christ I am free.
