Welcome Dr Ley! If learned even moderately well, Greek is like a bicycle: You don't ever have to relearn, you just have to adjust the seat from time to time :)

I'm beginning my study of Biblical Greek again. I studied it back in 1977, but have forgotten almost everything. One of my best and dearest friends, and brother in Christ, is going to help me with study materials. Wish me good luck. The ole brain is running or 7 cylinders now.

I just spent over two hours getting Logs/Libronix back in the same "order" I have with my desktop. I know, I know, I could have imported some of those settings, resource associations, key linking and the like...but it was fun!LOL!

Well, I just got a new Gateway laptop and I am settling down into it and getting everything like I want it.
Hopefully this will help me stay better connected and engaged with this group.

Charles, just when you starting unwinding from the verbs the participles come and tie you back up in a knot again...lol

Ugh. We just started participles this week and I feel like I've been hit with a bus. David Alan Black's chapter on this, I am convinced, is written in Swahili with Hindi footnote.

Wilson, Dr. Michael Burer is my professor and an excellent one at that. In fact, I might be doing my internship with him for Bible.org but we'll see. In terms of topics, I will not get to textual criticism until next semester but I am always picking Dr. Burer's brain regarding exegesis and what certain words are doing in passages. The most recent one was 2 Cor 5:17 and the verb for pass away or disappear. When I learn how to type in greek, I can do probably do a better job of explaining stuff I'm thinking about.

Hi Lisa. See what I mean folks. I didn't receive a notice that she posted. I guess I should just show up everyday !LOL!
Lisa, the DTS class? Who is teaching it?
Would you have some ideas for our group?
Lisa Robinson Comment by Lisa Robinson on January 15, 2009 at 6:30pm
Hey Wilson, I like the idea of the blog. I just started my 2nd semester of greek at DTS. We go at it at a pretty fast rate so a back up discussion site would be great.
