I also love being a Catholic. I am in the Byzantine Ruthenian Rite, so I have heavenly eastern liturgy.

When I was still a fundamentalist, I have to admit that that the Marian doctrines were amongst the most oppressive and blasphemous beliefs of the Catholic and the E.O. Church.

- I am employed by a community youth center. I am a graduate student in clinical psychology with aspirations to be a family counselor and continue on for a Phd in cognitive psychology. I am married with no children. I enjoy reading, running, hiking, surfing, and hanging out with kids. I enjoy heavy metal music.
- How would you describe yourself theologically?
- Convert to Catholicism from evangelical Christianity. I enjoy all ancient, liturgical Christianity including Catholicism, Eastern Orthodox, and Oriental Apostolic. I am a Byzantine Ruthenian Catholic, one of the Eastern Rite Catholic Churches, in full communion with the Patriarch of Rome, however I attend a Roman Rite Catholic Church as well, but the Roman Rite is getting a bit to modern for me. I am discerning entering the diaconate.
- Who is the greatest theologian in the last 2000 years? (Besides Biblical People!)
- The Latin, Greek, and Apostolic Fathers.

Ab illo bene.
I see from your profile that we have a common interest. I seek my degrees to accomodate my life goal of opening a working farm and residential school for our area's wanted teenagers who appear lost and without direction.
This, of course, is a major undertaking but I have great support in the area to continue this endeavor.
I live in a place that is 20 years behind the times which has its good and bad sides. Unfortunately there aren't many resources for the many teens now finding themselves homeless and wasting their bright futures.
After many years of taking them in at my own cost, I have decided to do something bigger as a non-profit resource. I will be assisting them in finishing thier education and learning basic business practices and life skills. Naturally this will mean an ability to counsel them and speak to the local corporations for thier assistance both financially and in thier future employment opportunities. So I have a long challenge ahead of me in obtaining the necessary derees that will speak to my abilities. At present I am an online student in accelerated courses taking Business Administration and Psychology. It is my hope to go further into a teaching and theology degrees.
