What's this about dialing out?? I should say that I avoided the whole Vista fiasco. We use XP at home and my IT guy at work downgraded our office PCs so that we could continue using XP. I hear that if you never "upgraded" to Vista, that you have ...

Oh, and better pray that you never need to call AppleCare or take your Mac in for service. $$$ and at-their-convenience hours.

My last laptop purchase was a Macbook, and I have to add a spoiler to all the "Mac is so wonderful and easy" talk. I found Leopard very difficult to learn and still have problems doing simple things. It's like they purposefully obscure simple task...

I read more in fall and winter, too. Something of a tradition is to read ghost stories in the fall. I like Russell Kirk's Ancestral Shadows and have picked up a book of Charles Dickens ghost stories, too. Most of my reading is history. I am finis...

Agreed, Hitler was interested in the cultic aspects of various religions but his anti-Semitism was part of the scientific fashion of the day. Small wonder that an atheist would not want to admit this, particularly the kind of atheist that puts mys...

From my experience, I think Muslims would either be puzzled as to why a Christian was observing a Muslim feast, or hopeful that the person was on the path to becoming a Muslim. As an evangelism tool, I find it manipulative. It is another thing to ...

Greetings...Are you the Gina that graduated with the class of '89 at OV? I've been trying to look up old classmates and one of my other classmates told me what they thought was your last name. If you're not, please forgive me.

Sorry for snapping at you in that other thread; my e-irritation wasn't aimed at you but you wound up getting the brunt of it after several threads.

Hi Gina, I'm trying to figure out what the difference is between Sacred Tradition and tradition. Would you be willing to weigh in on that discussion in the forum?

Grace and peace of our Lord to you, Joanne

Hi Gina, glad to find out that you worked for Campus Crusade. I was also discipled by Campus Crusade many years ago while an undergraduate.

I find the orthodox church to be closer to what we are looking for than many others! I too am in the minority but someone told me the "closer you get to God the less company you'll have on the trip"!

Thanks for your kind notes. Bishop, we're sort of honorary Copts, having only been received in a few years ago and not ethnically Coptic. So we are learning, too. But I would be happy to answer any questions you have or point you to someone who could answer them.

I've never met a Coptic Christian before. I have a great interest in Coptic Christianity but I never seem to be able to find the time to dig deeper than what I can read on the Internet.

Gina,

Wanted you to know that I missed you while you were away and am glad you’re back. There probably are not two more different people on this board. But I really appreciate your contribution. You are very helpful to me. I also love your take on the ministry of coverings.

Sorry, went silent. :) I like it alright, the depth of conversation is good. I do get weary of message boards in general (How many times can you have the same conversation? Especially when all you see is type?) and of being a minority in an evangelical culture.
