Tell us about yourself
I serve as a Local Church Representative for Reclaiming the Mind Ministries at First Baptist Church of Elkhart (Bristol, IN). I teach The Theology Program at FBC. I was also involved in the online TTP program for approximately 2 1/2 years - both as a student and a Teaching Assistant. I completed the entire curriculum in Spring '08.

I am also a 1976 graduate of Baptist Bible College of PA (Theology Major).

I am married and have four adult children. I also have six grandchildren (a seventh one is due any time)... :-)
How would you describe yourself theologically?
I aspire to be a compassionate Calvinist theologian - to be "salt" and "light" by penetrating the postmodern mindset with the truth that ultimate reality is not a figment of the evangelical imagination...
Who is the greatest theologian in the last 2000 years? (Besides Biblical People!)
Martin Luther

azurebeowulf is a fun name I came up with as a pseudonym for Andrew Beacham. Azure means blue in french and Beowulf is Gaelic for dragon. So, it simply means blue dragon.

Thanks for the invite to join the discussion on the believer's relationship to the Law and the role of "Good Works". I've actually been addressing this topic a bit in a study in James. I'll get caught up on the posts as soon as I can.

Yes, I have read 'Future Grace.' That's actually the only book of his that I've read. I've heard many times that 'Desiring God' is very good reading, but haven't yet actually gotten a copy of that book in my hands.
