Church planting is fine as long as the Law and Gospel is preached correctly, church doctrine, and the Creeds are taught and the un-churched catechized and the Sacraments rightly administrated. There should not be a bait and switch program.

I am life long Lutheran, former member of the ELCA, moved to California from Pennsylvanian where my wife and I joined a confessional church in the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. The pastor has pointed me to reading Lutheran Theological Books and the Lutheran Confessions.

Lutheranism

This is from a Lutheran Blog Confessional gadfly, What are your thoughts?

1. Scripture is the Inspired, True, Word of God, which Christians are to believe and are to understand as the basis of any doctrine.
2. Scripture says that you are sinful through and through, and that even your own attempts at being good are full of wickedness and failure.
