Any Unorthodox Christians in the house?

ok Dr. Mike, I'll let you have fun with this one. I would say that I am an unorthodox orthodox. I am extremely conservative - some may even say fundamentalistic - but how many Latin Rite Trad la...

Profile Information

Tell us about yourself
I am a single mother to 5 incredible daughters. I have a new granddaughter. I love my 3 simple late model Harleys. I love my 9 passenger Ford Expedition. I raised my family on a small farm in my Currier and Ives location. I homeschooled my children for thier formal years. My hobbies are writing, studying, singing, playing guitar, flute, piano, landscaping, kids kids kids, theology, culture, etymology. I speak Latin, Spanish, French, Italian. I love to read the masters. My favorite artist is Gustave Dore. My favorite music is Led Zeppelin. I love my home and consider it my sanctuary. My career: I run a small "green" contracting/ maintenance/ landscaping business. I offer marketing consultation for small businesses. I am currently in my first year of college working toward both an MBA and PhD.
It is my nature to be master of detail, objectivity, and analysis. I consider myself practical in my intellectual activities and pursuits and enjoy research. I am unobtrusive, and often rather quiet. I possess a strong inner dignity and sense of self-respect. Home and family come first to me, and I ardently protect them. They are my foremost preoccupation for which I am a workaholic. I am straightforward, frank, and perspicacious. I am honest, loyal, passionate, self-confident, self-assured, aggressive, competitive, ambitious, and hardworking. I am strong-willed and foresighted to the point of stubbornness. Earth stewardship is a deep passion of mine. I have a great sense of observation and intuition. I am strongly independent, nostalgic, deeply spiritual, generous.
I was appropriately born on the Feast of Saint Peter in Chains. I live up to my astrological signs of a Leo born in the year of the Dragon, and am true to the nature of my Native American heritage.
Now, for the negative side: My sense of smallness often times keeps me in my shell which tends to send the message that I don't care or am not interested in those around me. I can be guileless, and in some ways naïve. I don't feel a need to be heard or harbor mass amounts of attention. I am slow to trust. I am forgiving to a fault.
I own this road and my 100 years journey of it. I love intensely and depthlessly, and I bleed so those I love don't have to. In their happiness is mine found.

Thats great. I am about to start a masters degree in Psychology in January. I just finished my BA and Teaching Credential and I am taking a semester off. I hope to end up doing some sort of counseling with kids and families. Maybe even school psychology. I hope and pray that all goes well for you and your ministry.

Yours,

Gus

Wow. I think your five incredible daughters have a pretty remarkable mother.

And you're a biker! You are like the total package.

Well, except for the Led Zeppelin thing. I find The Who to be more substantive. Townshend's lyrics and sense of irony keep bringing me back to them for one encore after another.

Not that Led Zeppelin is not good: it certainly is. But I have to rank The Who and Pink Floyd above them, followed by LZ. The Who and Pink Floyd are at once cerebral and visceral, something that tends to captivate me.

Ever read Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance? You seem the type.

Well, welcome to Theologica. You might want to keep your head down for a bit until you get a feel for the dynamics.
