Yes, Char, it is...at least that's what my husband said. But it probably wasn't as annoying as getting the room ready. We used to have a huge sofa - sleeper in there. My son and his big bubba friends actually took it out thru the window!!!!

Study of Scriptures involves more than just pulling out verses and whoever has the largest pile wins. Study also integrates the verses which seem to teach opposite of what others teach. I have already explained all of your warning passages, while ...

- I have loved & studied theology informally since I was in my early twenties ( and that was quite some time ago!) I am restarting that endeavour as I have much to learn.
- How would you describe yourself theologically?
- I am theologically conservative. I believe the bible is the word of God and our standard for faith & practice.
- Who is the greatest theologian in the last 2000 years? (Besides Biblical People!)
- The jury is still out on that one. THREE PICTURES BELOW ARE BY OTHER PHOTOGRAPHERS. I BOUGHT ONE DIGITAL IMAGE & TWO WERE GIVEN TO ME. The others are pictures I have taken. I hope you enjoy them. You may copy them & use them to God's glory, but not sell them. Thanks.

I specially love the picture of the trees around the lake, very beautiful, rich in color, vibrant, and yet also peaceful. I love the quiet strength of tree. Choosing a scripture is harder, there are so many I love with my whole heart, but the one that comes to mind right now is from Psalm 19:14 "Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
Be acceptable in Your sight,
O LORD, my strength and my Redeemer."
This is such an unnexpected, kind-hearted and generous gift, am still a bit bowled over. Thank you dear Jande, grace and peace to you.

- My impression of this pastor (and many others) is that He is insecure, and unprepared to answer any criticism. And many churches dumbly follow these "leaders", and don't follow Biblical instruction. In fact, when they change pastors, they also accept contradictory, unbiblical doctrines, without question. Sheep, following unfaithful shepherds.

In 1980, I led a young lady from Ft. Wayne, IN, to Christ.
About 10 years ago, she moved, and probobly has a cell phone, and lost contact, at that time. I consider my "daughter" in Christ.
I have tried reunion sites and other searches, with no results.
She is about your age. Her name is Tamara K. Norton. Is there a way you could check some phone books, and see if you can find her name?

- Jande; many differences of understanding arise in these discussions, partly because God has not taught each of us all the same things, and in the same order. Some are babes, some semi-mature, and some more mature. None of us has complete understanding of what God has revealed. But we may rest assured that the Holy Spirit will never teach contradictory things. Many of the things we think we know or understand, were not taught us by His Spirit, but by men, or our own "natural" understanding, or even by an un-holy spirit. God teaches us line upon line, precept upon precept..Isa 28:10. Some precepts cannot be understood until we learn some underlying or supporting precept. Or until God eliminates strongly held erreoneous opinions that prevent our correct understanding of scripture.
I assume that we all have more to learn, and some to share.

- Amen! I've been there, too, tearful and feeling alone and not understanding how the conversation could progress they way it did....and agreed, the chronology isn't important, just as you said, just the facts themselves of salvation by faith through grace :o)
