Sola Scriptura cannot be accurately considered as a stand-alone doctrine, as odd as that might seem at first glance. It is a kind of motto, and as such represents a larger argument, that of the Protestant Reformation. There were five "solas" of th...

Philip, I loved your comment on 1 Tim. 2, "the words are plain only to those who are willing for them to be plain..." Sadly, fewer and fewer people allow the plain sense of God's Word to stand. I was told in Bible College, "If the plain sense make...

Profile Information

Tell us about yourself
I have pastored churches in Berkeley, California; St. Louis, Missouri, Evansville, Indiana; Bellefonte, Pennsylvania; and Marietta, Ohio.

Following my post-ordination conversion to biblical Christianity, I have labored for Gospel renewal through radio, music, counseling, and writing. Coming to see the counter productivity of my B.S in Philosophy, and my M.Div. from Pacific School of Religion, California, I repudiated my formal education, and reeducated himself in the historic traditions of Protestant Christianity.

I am the author of many books on biblical exposition.
How would you describe yourself theologically?
Calvinist, Reformed Congregational
Who is the greatest theologian in the last 2000 years? (Besides Biblical People!)
Calvin, Van Til
