Hey, Rob, check out http://theologica.ning.com/forum/topic/show?id=2124612%3ATopic%3A22433&page=5&commentId=2124612%3AComment%3A33611&x=1#2124612Comment33611 Stan originally stated that MacDonald is a heretic. I pointed out that maybe MacDonald is heterodox and Stan agrees. I do not like to so freely call people heretics (even before reading his book!), although from my reading about what constitutes hereticism, I understand that a person can be a heretic and still be a Christian. Still, heresy has a very negative connotation in these circles. Thank you for being brave enough to bring up the topic about Evangelical Universalism. (And hello to you, Stan, if you are reading this!)

Hi Rob

http://www.powerofchange.org/blog/docs/ware_atonement.pdf

I would be interested in your thoughts on this paper by Bruce Ware, it does address in small degree that extent of the atonement however from you viewpoint I would really sincerely be interested to know your thoughts. If you are interested in this short read let me know your thoughts otherwise its all good :)

Rob,
I want to apologize for being attacking towards you as an individual. My intent gets blurred from my brain to my fingertips - I mean you no ill will and hope that you'll forgive me for being a dork.
I asked my husband to read our latest 'conversation' and it didn't take him long to see where I fallen far short from behaving the way that I ought, as a representative of Christ. Sorry man.

Welcome! Got anything new and exciting for the Forum this Fall?

Tell us about yourself
Whether you agree with my theology or not; my life experience has been in chemical dependency treatment (after my lifelong battle with heroin). I work with several treatment centers presently and have published a book in order to educate families from someone who has spent a great deal of time on both sides of the "desk" in chemical dependency treatment. See my website for more info (www.robreid.org). Thanks.
How would you describe yourself theologically?
I would say that I would presently describe my location on this journey of theology as "a broad place" (reminiscent of Jurgen Moltmann's recent autobiography's title). In fact I have become rather fond of the category of "liberal." I think Jesus was a liberal in the truest sense of the term. If you disagree, then I suppose dialogue is what we are all here for isn't it?
Who is the greatest theologian in the last 2000 years? (Besides Biblical People!)
I no longer venerate theologians, but I think people who are asking the right questions are "the best" at present---Stephen Moore, Warren Carter, Richard Horsley, and the Social-Scientific and literary critical schools.
