Just as the Emergent/Emerging Movement examined the Modern Evangelical Church, it is appropriate for the movement itself to face the same examination from a variety of perspectives. I hope we can have an irenic conversation.

I read fiction for relaxation, normally, so I read some lighter fare. Gilbert Morris and Beverly Lewis are among my favorites. I must say that T.L. Hines wrote a great book called The Unseen that is worth reading. Interesting subtleties in the boo...

Profile Information

Tell us about yourself
I grew up in Christ a Calvary Chapel Church.
I served and attended a Emerging Church in Fresno, CA. It was an interesting experience and a blessing in certian ways. God taught me a lot through that time.
Currently I attend and serve in a Korean Church as a non-Korean. I seek to do ministry in Korea (South and eventually North).
I am pursuing an M.A. in English Bible through Regent University.
How would you describe yourself theologically?
I am "Historic Evangelical" Charismatic
Eschatology-a Futurist, Partial Rapture, Progressive Dispensationalist.
Ecclesiology-I tend to like some type of eldership.
Soteriology-I think we are chosen by God and we chose God. I think it is a possiblity one can lose their salvation. I think God died for the world.
Who is the greatest theologian in the last 2000 years? (Besides Biblical People!)
I don't have just one, but closest is say Wayne Grudem.

My experience at Moody has been very positive. I'm doing one class/semester so I'm on the slow train to finish my MMin in 2013 or beyond.

I love it! Regent has been great for me because it has expanded my horizons. I am not charismatic, and being around so many charismatics, and especially the professors, has given me a new found respect for the renewal movement. Are you able to take any on campus classes? I am also an online student, but I live in Virginia beach and I do most of my work on campus.
