My Take On Charles Worley's Sermon

Posted on May 23, 2012 at 11:30am 17 Comments

Pastor Worley is not living up to his responsibility to live wisely so as to “protect future generations from persecution”. Perhaps, instead of being called upon to step down from the pastorate, he should be rebuked for reckless endangerment of future generations.

The Law Of Non-Contradiction

Posted on May 14, 2012 at 7:48pm 2 Comments

The law of non-contradiction simply states that something cannot be both A and non-A at the same time.

If a person decides that the law of non-contradiction is incorrect he must then say that his position, or another position of which he is aware is correct.

The problem with that declaration is that, if the law of non-contradiction is correct, it is incorrect to declare it incorrect. After all, it’s not that it must be either correct or incorrect; it…

From Whence Logic?

Posted on May 10, 2012 at 6:37pm 41 Comments

Is logic simply a human construct?

Did it begin with the Greek philosophers/

Is it only the invention of people who wish to oppress others who don't know any better?

Is logic a tool of the white man to oppress the other (so-called) races?

Does a desire to think and speak logically mean that a person is placing logic on a plane that is higher than God?

Let me answer the last question first. For me, though I desire to think and speak logically, I understand…

When Is A Prophecy A Commandment? When A Commandment Is A Prophecy.

When Is A Prophecy A Commandment? When A Commandment Is A Prophecy.

Odd title, isn’t it? Odd, and now it’s one that must be explained and justified.

One of the things with which we struggle (and I think God’s people have struggled with this for years) today is how to understand the way the New Testament interprets the Old Testament. (By the way, I highly…

It's bad enough that I have to share my birthday with my twin, but every four years I get cheated.  They add in this leap-day and I have to wait an extra day for my birthday. :(  So officially, it isn't until tomorrow, but I appreciate the birthday wishes. :)

Thanks for the "friending". If iron is to sharpen iron and no heat or sparks produced I am sure we would be of no real benefit to one another. Besides, patience, mercy and forgiveness are part of the equation as well. Thanks again.

Hi Jason,

I just wanted to thank you for the "friends" request.  Some may think this is nuts, I don't know, but as a married woman I have made it a policy to keep my friends on Facebook and now here in the "women's only" category.

But after the conversation yesterday, I didn't want you to think I was mad and so ignoring you!
