The solution, I think, is found in that the gospel tells us that our blessing is Christ and in Christ. This doesn't exclude material things—and I know that no one in this thread is really trying to say that blessing is specifically material—but th...

Just installed Karmic Koala (UNR) on my netbook, and I'm diggin' it. The interface isn't much changed, but they've done a lot under the hood to improve the speed and experience. Not the most artistic of options is Linux, but I confess that I can'...

The 2007 year is considerably shorter because I didn't know about the footmisc package in LaTeX. So anyway,… Continue

Mem,

I never thanked you for your Winter Reading List suggestions; the thread strayed and I did as well. :) Adding Milosz's book to the mix - thanks again!

Peace & grace,

Holly

Hi mem, good to hear from you. Yeah, sometimes I look on here but don't always contribute comments at times. You wanted to comment on my articles about the gospel. I hope with good things and not challenges. :) But I shall take either. :)

Mem, I did it. I bought my wife an EEEPc 1000HE. It should be coming in the mail in the next few days.

I hate you for perverting all my recent shopping habits.

I respect your opinion about questioning the salvation of people in the past.

And thank you for your comment and recommended resources, I will be sure and read those at some point. :)

I get what you're saying about God as the object/subject, but I'm not sure I totally agree that He alone should be the subject. HAHA...boy that sounds bad. Let me clarify.

What if the subject of our worship was not JUST "God," but "God and His relation to mankind." Doesn't this make more sense? I mean, you can take a political issue (abortion, global warming, etc.) and talk about that issue, but it really hits home when you take that issue and see how it relates to man. Does this make sense? I've had this thought in my head for some time, but haven't been able to have it make sense on paper. This is my attempt. What say you?
