Okay then, but this means your question "begs the question" (in the real sense of that phrase). It assumes the premise that you are asking about.

Define "Fundamentalist." For that matter define "Pharisee." The word Fundamentalist as it tends to be used today is pejorative and dismissive, and assumes negative behavioral factors. The term Pharisee is also used pretty much strictly pejorati...

Dear Rey you are right their are Pharisees in many groups, in fact something of the Pharisee resides in all of us -the natural man). The Pharisees were always(to their own minds) the only pure ones or separated ones. Always condemning others and n...

Pharisees, historically, were also huge evangelists. Christ himself would point out their extreme righteousness. They were reknowned lawyers in the Jewish world and even more, supporters of truth. They believed in an actual physical resurrection i...

Hi Michel,
Sorry for taking so long to respond. I have not looked at this site for some time. Do you have a question or are you just passing time with me. Nice to hear from you and God keep you.

So, sheesh, I'm terrible about reading everything written to me. Sorry.

First off, your friend's son in combat:
I always pray for my brothers and sisters in arms. When praying for him, don't forget to pray for peace for the family. Harder than combat is sending a son or spouse into combat. At least in combat we know what's going on and when. The uncertainty that families feel can be debilitating.

As to the Synod of Dordt:
I don't know of any books about it. I have read about it countless times but can't remember my sources. ccel.org and reformed.org are good places to start to find stuff. I'll try to remember to get back to you later with a better answer.

The Bible Study hasn't started yet. I am currently "on mission" and will be for the next few weeks. A friend is holding down the fort using a John Piper study on Romans.

Michel, thanks for stopping by and the prayers for the Study. I'll try to keep you abreast of how it goes.

I use the ESV a bit now, but I was wondering if you have any insight on the Study Bibles. Is the ESV Study Bible good or should I go for the ESV Reformation Study Bible?
