PESS: Post Election Stress Syndrome

I have been in a mild state of depression since the election. It probably would have been worse except that I spent the first four days drunk and the last three shopping; laying in nonperishable foods and ammunition. Ok, I lied; I didn’t get drunk I gave that nonsense up years ago.

What I have been doing this past week is setting up a Ning Community for Conservatives called the “Sons Of Liberty Underground.” I don’t know if it will catch on, I hope it will, but if nothing else it has been therapeutic.

It is my belief that lack of a Conservative message was a major contributor to the defeat of John McCain and the Republican Party. There was no such lack of ideology in the Democrat campaign as MoveOn.org, the DemocraticUnderground.com and other Leftists Liberal sites raised literally millions of dollars for the Obama campaign.

Only an unprecedented idea-based Resistance from freedom-loving citizens can prevent the full implementation of Obama’s march to the Left. There are many Conservative Blogs and sites on the Internet but none have had anywhere near the impact of MoveOn; but unless it is tried it surely won’t.

It is ironic isn’t it. Actually it was a major consideration in going with the name. I don’t know if you have been to the site but I mention it on the Home page and I also posted a cartoon on the subject.
